It was pouring like the heaven's were weeping. So bad that it was practically impossible to see through the window. Svetlana sat in her bedroom in the dorm she shared with Krissie and Mandy. It was what? Three o clock or so? She didn't know. She didn't go to school. Which meant something was wrong...Since Sevvi never missed school unless she was very sick. Nope. Sevvi cut on purpose.
So the girls wouldn't think anythng was really wrong with her, she simply locked herself in her room and when they knocked, she remained silent so they would think she left already since she always kept her room door locked. Not that she didn't trust her friends-but out of habit from home. Sevvi had the smallest bedroom out of the three of them, simply because she didn't have a lot of stuff there. Most of her stuff was back in her mother's apartment.
So Svetlana sat there starring blankly out the window, jade eyes clouded over as tears silently slipped down and across her golden skin. She wrapped her arms around her knees that she pulled up to her chest. She was on one of the chairs in her room, photoalbums, pictures, medals, badges, and other things strewn across the carpeted floor. Svetlana looked like a Zombie just sitting there. She hadn't come out all day though she had her door unlocked when she heard the girls leave from when she went to take a shower in the morning. Sevvi wore some tiny PINK! boxers, which she usually wore to bed, and a black sports bra to cover her torso. Her hair was down and a bit disheveled and she was holding a medal in her hand, her fingers running over its silver color. It was the medal of honor and it was on a blue ribbon. Her father had given it to her on her eleventh birthday...
It was officially six years since her father passed away. Her mother had called, and Svetlana said she was fine, that she was 'in school doing work can't talk much now'. Anything to get her mother off her back. She glanced down at the pictures, lightly running her fingers over them. Her father...She felt so guilty for what happened...
Then her slightly puffed pinkish eyes glanced over at the clock. Three. The girls would be out by now...
Shit.
Svetlana wiped the tears away as she quickly tried cleaning up all the photos on the floor, putting them back where she had them in the large box under her bed. The one she rarely took out and kept here because her mother would find them in her bedroom at home. She was hoping the girls wouldn't come in yet. Sevvi had never cried in front of them before-or even looked upset. She was the smiley one. Sadness wasn't suppose to exist in her personality.
When she finished, she made sure her room looked like it was clean all day. Then she went over to the window, pulling out a menthol from the night stand, and lighting it up, opening the window a bit so she could have a quick light before the girls got there. They didn't know of her smoking habit either-it wasn't something she was proud of. It was just something she did to keep her stress free. She wasn't used to people disliking her. She had tried so hard to make people like her that it was weird. But with everything going on with Jack and Gabby Gossip finding out...
The glaring was just seriously hitting her like a brick wall.

[/size] Ariana wasn't sure she was liking things so far. Earlier this morning, she had woken up to find her kitchen leaking in her dorm. She had phoned the dorm master in a rage, and they had promised to move her into a different room that day. Little did she realize until she talked to an aquaintence in class that she was being moved into the room with the Elites. The Elites... Ariana had gone quiet for the rest of the day, ignoring people in her own silent manner.
Why had they chosen that one? Was it because of her status? She knew they were moving her expensive bed, fixtures, and clothing down for her, because of her status, but why put her in with the Elites? Ariana was by no means the most popular. She usually just got noticed around here for the pure fact that her eyes and hair could light up a pitch black room. Though yes, this has gotten her some attention most could see as popularity, she didn't see it that way. She had never been popular before, so she only saw it as kindness.
So, there she was, key ready to open the door of the elites. She took a very deep breath, and pushed the key in the lock. Her first impression was grand. They seemed to have taken the room under their wings, like she had done with her original dorm. She found it beautiful. She then smelled the smell of smoke. Cigarette smoke no less. A common smell in Italy, but she hadn't thought anyone home yet.
"Hello?" She called out tentativley. [/blockquote]

Svetlana heard the door start to unlock and scowled. She didn't want to just through it away. It was a menthol. She squeezed the end of it, heard the familiar pop! and then brought it back to her lips, sucking in, and then releasing the smoke into the air. Now it had a minty after taste-and smell. So the cigarette smoke itself was not as strong. It usually didn't filter into the room, just sort of stuck in Sevvi's-but she would claim she always left the window open and that someone who smoked next door outside their window would let their nasty smoke filter into her room.
Yeah, she could definetly come up with excuses.
But when she heard the voice and it wasn't a voice she knew, she didn't bother putting out the cancer stick. Instead, she opened her room door and walked right out, holding the stick between her fingers while blowing smoke rings into the air.
When she turned the corner of the hallway, she seemed to come face to face with white and then a striking blue. She cocked an eyebrow curiously,"Can I help you?" her russian accent, as always, was strong as she looked at the person. She had seen her before but had no idea who she was. Still, Sevvi as always, would be nice to her just because it was in her nature.
She ran her fingers through her hair as she took another drag before putting out the cigarrette on a tissue and then wrapping it up inside and tossing the tissue into the trash. If one of the other girls were expecting someone they should have given her a heads up. Then Sevvi could have been a better host...

Ariana frowned as a hardly dressed Svetlana Romanov came out and asked if she could be helped. To her, the words sounded rude. In her country, if someone you don't know walks through the door and makes her presence known immediatley, they are a vistitor, and treated with respect until it is known what they want. So as you can imagine, Ariana was a little baffled when she didn't even get a 'hello' back for a response. She automatically felt unwanted.
She dug into her bag, not really sure she could explain it without snapping, and pulled out a notice, also holding up her keys. The notice described how she had changed to this room, and how everything had already been moved for her. The keys were a symbol to show that she wasn't lying and hadn't wrote it herself. She was feeling a little unnaturally short. The girl was just an inch higher than her, and Ariana hated women taller than herself. Her doctor told her that she would still grow, probably reach six feet, but still, girls taller than her made her angry and start to twitch.
"Yes," she said, her lovely Italian accent near over powering her Russian one for richness, "You can show me which room was not originally occupied. Apparently it is now mine." Most noted Ariana's voice to be what they call "musical", it was quiet, but powerful. When she had been planning her original wedding, she had many people telling her what she should have and wear. All it took was for Ariana to speak once in her quiet, melodious voice, and the entire room would shut up simply to hear her few sentences about what she wanted and preffered. Though she had become much more quiet since then, she still had that effect with her voice.

Svetlana blinked a few times, a bit confused when the notice was pulled out and she glanced down at it before returning it to the person and turning a light shade of pink,"I'm so sorry!" Sevvi scrunched up her nose and made the tiniest of pouts,"I'm being rude...I didn't know you were going to be our new roommate!" if Sevvi knew, she would have been more inviting-and more clothed. Ahhhhhh. She oculd already imagine how she came off.
She didn't think they would get a new room mate. The three were pretty close-and she could only imagine how Mandy and Krissie would react to someone who wasn't an Elite living with them...Especially when the two other girls were known for being a bit...meaner...Than Sevvi.
"I'm Svetlana," she chuckled, feeling embaressed as she gave her a kiss on each cheek, which was something Sevvi normally did,"And sorry I'm not really decent right now," she said as she pulled away,"I wasn't expecting anyone to come over." At least Svetlana wasn't afraid to admit when she was wrong. She could be stubborn and prideful at times, but it wasn't too often.
"Uh....I think the room is over here somewhere..." Sevvi truely had no idea where the room was,"I'm not usually here so sorry if I seem unoriented," Svetlana's voice was sweet and as smooth as velvet as she started down the hallway, glancing over her thin shoulder to make sure she was following, and then stopped by the door next to her's. She simply reached up and on the doorframe there was a key. Good thing she was so damn tall or she wouldn't have been able to reach it. Krissie and Mandy couldn't...
Svetlana unlocked the door, leaving it open for the white haired girl and then held out the key for her with an innocent smile. Sevvi was so oblivious sometimes it was sad. But that was what made her Svetlana.

Ariana was surprised at the sudden change in attitude so quickly, from stand-offish to curteous in seconds. She guessed that was either how things were done here, or in Russia. She had only been in New York for a little while, and hadn't really met anyone, and she had never been to Russia, so really, she could not tell which the habit came from. She didn't mention this, however, for that would be rude to her suddenly so-kind host.
She was certaintly unsure of what to do when Svetlana leaned in to give her a kiss on each cheek. She tentativley returned them, fully aware and very uncomfortable with the situation. If her skin had any more melanin, you would see a blush there, but, due to the lack of one, they only way you could tell that Ariana was indeed embarrassed, was that she put her a head down a little. "I know who you are," Ariana said quietly, returning her head to the girl's eyes, seeing as it was custom in her country to actually look at the person to whom you were speaking. "There are notes on you in the school bathroom... it's quite odd actually." She frowned a little. "And I don't mind the lack of clothing. It's a dorm. You're supposed to be comfortable in it."
She followed Svetlana down the hall, to a room, listening to her talk of her disorientation. Ariana had always been a very organized person, her mother had always said of her that her head was a file folder of information that never got lost. She remembered the first day she could see, she was pretty sure. It hurt a lot. Svetlana reached over her head, not by much, Ariana could have done it herself, and brought down a key. She opened the door with it, and Ariana saw the familiar fixtures, set up perfectly to imitate her room in Italy. The dark green walls were not the same, of course, but one can only have so much the same, can't they?
She took the key with a small smile and clicked it onto her key chain, returning it to her purse. She would only need it for opening the door, and she never left the dorm without it, so she would be fine. She walked into the room, and made a motion that in her country basically meant 'You may come in, if you wish.' It muchly resembled a beconing of sorts. Most people in other countries misinterpreted it. It was being polite to them, to others it seemed like they were welcome 'I suppose', Ariana didn't even think to make that distinction on time. She hoped the Russian girl would understand that it was meant to be kind, and not rude.

Svetlana took the motion as a sort of you can come on in! because it was the only thing that rang a bell in her head. So she stepped on it, looking like a curious little puppy. She had never been in there...She thought it was just some spare room Krissie or Mandy used. But apparently it was vacant.
She glanced over at Ariana and smiled,"Are you from Italy or somewhere in Europe?" she recognized the accent slightly...It was probably because she was usualy hanging out with a lot of her mother's models and going to parties with them. It was sort of like Svetlana lead a double life. She was still sweet and nice to everyone no matter where she went but when it came to her modeling friends, she became more mature-because she was representing her mother after all.

Post by Kristen Chenoworth on Nov 18, 2008 20:22:18 GMT -5
Kristen had had the weirdest day. She saw notes about Sevvi in the girl's bathroom where the school's bloke Gabby xoxo Gossip wrote daily gossip about the students. She had ripped off all the notes saying "SPOTTED: JACK & SEVVI!" This was a dream. Impossible! Sevvi hadn't said ANYTHING to Kristen. Was that what she wanted to text kristen about? Everything was strange. Svetlana hadn't been in class today. Why was that? It was all a confusion. A mere blurr in her life at this moment. What was going on?
Kristen just wanted to flop on her bed before getting on her way to Starbucks for a mocha frapp like her daily usual. Kristen usually went with Sevvi everyday but Sev was a no show today. Along with her high heels, the steps she took were slower. WIth a lump in her throat, she scavenged through her purse to get a pass key to enter her dorm room. kris was discombobulated today. everyone was staring and asking "WHERE IS SEVVI" all the time. Kristen felt sick. She shook out her thoughts from that day hoping Svet was in the dorm room. She bursted through the door saying, "Sevi, you won't believe what I just heard!" But something caught her eye. Some foreign student Krissie did not know of. Sitting on the couch talking to Sevvy. "Uhh... Hi! Umm... I'm Kristen Chenoworth." Is what she said to the girl extending her hand to shake. "Who's your friend?" is what Kris said to Sevvi reaching out for a hug.

Ariana knew she had taken her motion correctly when she heard Svetlana ask about her accent. "Yes, I am from Rome, one of my homes is actually minutes away from Vatican City," she said with a smile. They had no idea how confusing it was for her to live here. All they're streets were all blocky. In her city everything was big circles. It was rather easy to follow when you knew what you were doing. All the businesses were in the middle of the circle, and all the living accomodations were out on the edge. She loved it. All the shopping centers were on one street. Here they were all jumbled up, and she was very lost.
"I imagine that you are from eastern europe or Russia, from your accent?" Ariana was naturally curious, just as Sevvi was about her accent. It was nice to have someone else who wouldn't stare at her funny if she did something very European, or something similar. It felt a little closer to home. Heck, she could have been from Peru and Ariana would feel a little bit more comfortable knowing she wasn't the only foreign one.
And then the oddest thing happened, a girl she recognized as another Elite barged into her room, talking directly to Svetlana about something she had heard. Then her eyes came to a rest on Ariana, who was standing there with her arms in the air, just about to fix a fixture, staring right back at her bewilderedly. Ariana blinked a few times in confusion.
"Hello, Kristen." She said quickly while shaking her hand, before Kristen turned right back to Sevvi and asked her who she was. She kept her mouth closed in what she supposed was politeness. She had no idea where Kristen got the idea she couldn't introduce herself, but maybe that was simply... an american custom she hadn't learned of yet.

"I'm from Russia," Svetlana cuckled, glad she got her accent sort of right, "Glad to not be the only foreigner in the dorm room now," she smiled. Sevvi didn't like being the only foreigner. It was weird-because sometimes she'd say something and the other girls would be like...what?
She opened her mouth to say something but then she heard Kristen's voice and soon after, saw Kristen herself simply walk right in questioning who Arianna was.
Sevvi would ask her later what she heard. No doubt it would be about her and Jack. Apparently that Gossip girl or whatever had posted stuff. Sevvi didn't really care much about what the Gossip chick posted as long as it wasn't , like, nude pictured of her or one of her friends or something-or something that was not true. That would be the only time Sevvi would actually get mad about it.
Sevvi happily gave Kristen a hug, glad she had come in now insted of before. She would have caught the russian gl at a bad moment. Meh. Not so much fun there, "She's our new roomie," Sevvi replied simply to Kristen with a somewhat forced smile that didn't reach her eyes. She wondered how the two would gt along-probably just fine. The only one Sevvi wasn't looking forward to was the meeting with Mandy. Regardless of wether it went well or not, Sevvi most likely wouldn't be there. She had stuff to do over this week and weekend anyways to keep her occupied.
