seems like everyday is just the same and i'm waiting for the cure was a week yesterday and already it seems too long [/i][/center] Svetlana took a drag from her menthol as she pulled up in front of the resturaunt. The other girls in her Land Rover were giggling and chattering away at how amazing the photo shoot was and how amazing her mother was. Probably just sucking up to her, Sevvi was used to it. She blew the cancerous yet minty smoke out her window which was wide open as her jade eyes scanned the street for some form of parking. All of them were dressed up, Svetlana seeming to stand out with the black and splash of violet.( the outfit ) The second her eyes saw an available space, her foot seemed to slam on the pedal and she easily snaked into it despite the large size of the vehicle.
All the gals were laughing and talking as they seemed to spill out, a total of about six of them. Svetlana was with them, smiling when necessary and inquiring a giggle every now and again. They were going to eat and then Sevvi would drop them off at a club and that would be when she would have to make her getaway. She was staying home-not the dorm or her car-but home with her mom, to continue planning on her return trip to Russia. Now it seemed like her mother was thinking about sending her for the second semester and that, maybe with schooling from a foreign country, she would have an even better chance here at getting into one of the Ivy Leagues.
This was well known to be Sevvi's favorite resturaunt. She loved every inch of the place and loved that they allowed smoking-thank the lord. She threw the menthol onto the sidewalk, only to take another one out of her purse and light it up upon entering. The other gals seemed to flock on over to the bar while Sevvi went to get herself a table, well more like a booth, in the back end of the resturaunt. It was sort of the booth they had reserved for her since she tended to come here almost every single weekend. Minus the weekend she had spent at Jack's place...
Which reminded her that she needed to call him or something. She really should, right? After all, she hadn't talked to him in about four or so days now-not really to anyone, minus Ian two or so days ago for the art show and stuff. Which she was actually proud to say she came in first place with her painting but wasn't exactly the happiest camper when it was announced over the intercom at school. Ugh. Did the world really need to know about her painting habit?
She smiled sweetly at the waiter she knew so well and Jacquez as she slipped into the booth and he slid an ash tray on over to her. The booth had a window that could open and that faced the back streets since there were two enterances,"Just the usual, Jacquez," she tried to make the smile reach her eyes but there was no luck in it,"Oh, and a vodka tonic...make that two."
Was she going to get drunk? Vodka Tonics were her please make it all go away drink. She usually ordered a Malibu in coke, only because it barely had alcohol since she had cut back so much since leaving Russia two years ago. Seconds later, he came back with the two vodka tonics, set them in font of her, and then was off again. She opened the window as people seemed to walk by, the night air definetly welcoming as she blew the smoke out and then seemed to gulp down the first codka tonic pretty fast even though it was in a tall glass. Then she was already done with her third menthol that day and was starting on her fourth as she pulled out her cellphone to text Jack...
Or maybe she should just call Ian? He was easy to talk to-and was great company...But this was the week he disappeared...Crap. Maybe...Krissie? She was most likely with Rob since it was a Friday...Mandy? She didn't want to see her-she had been avoiding her for the past few days anyway...Ari she didn't know that well...Eddie would most likely go off and tell Jack, same with Loki....and Jason was most likely off with some chick...
Fuck. She couldn't think of a single person to call.
She took a deep breath and decided to just get it over with. Her slender fingers moved across the keyboard of her scarlett blackberry before she set it down shortly after clicking 'send'...
For once she was praying he wouldn't get it.

Jack had been in a shower when his cell went. It was an awkward situation to grab at a phone in, but what can you do? He had had shampoo in his hair and water dripping everywhere as he picked up his cell phone and saw the text from Sevvi. It said to meet her at 'sNICE. He had sent a really short text back, saying he would meet her as soon as possible. As to which he had to hurry the rest of the shower.
He had just washed dried himself off and pulled on his pants. Sometimes he didn't even bother with underwear. He found it comfortable every once in awhile, to just go comando like that. He could never live without socks though. Even though he detested them, he could not wear his shoes without them. He popped his shoes on while he was at it, and walked into the main part of the bathroom to find a shirt.
Opening his wardrobe, he found a simple white shirt, put a vest over top, 'cause he felt like it, and then, because he had deemed it could out, he put on a scarf and his warm designer jacket. He grabbed his car keys, his cell and his wallet before running out of his dorm and into the car lock. Over all, he looked pretty warm for the autumn weather (click)
These days he didn't drive the mustang during this time of year. It was starting to get slippery on the coast and he would hate to damage his baby. She was hidden away in a special garage for that purpose, put together to keep it clean and in one piece during the autumn and winter months. During the winter, he drives an electrnically powered SUV. (click). His mother had also insisted on it. He thought it looked wierd, but oh well. The thing was expensive, and it was a gift.
I took him awhile to get there, due to the traffic, but eventually it he arrived at 'sNICE parking a little bit down the street. He walked back and went into the resturant. He didn't find Sevvi real quickly, he had to describe her to about six waiters before he finally found her at the very back of the room in a sort of booth.
He slid in beside her and eyed the vodka tonic in front of her. "Hello," he said quietly. "You feeling OK?" He wasn't used to her sitting in a secluded booth at the back of a resturant with a couple vodka tonics. That was an unusual sight for him with just the one vodka tonic, but two?

He answered.
God didn't like her anymore. Maybe he was getting back at her for what happened with her father? Whatever the reason was, she brought it upon herself. If she didn't want to see him....scratch that she did want to see him-she was just afraid to-then she shouldn't have sent him the text...But being she never liked to listen to herself too often, she sent it anyways.
So she put out the menthol and flicked it out the window so Jack wouldn't see it and was already halfway done with the second vodka tonic, the two peices of lime that had been on the rim of both sitting on a napkin. When he slipped in beside her, she glanced up at him and gave him a soft smile,"Hi...and yeah...I'm fine," she gave him a tiny chuckle, sort of forced,"Long time no see."
That was the best she could come up with. She had no idea how to ease into the whole Mandy thing...Or how to tell him why she went missing. She never told anyone about her father. It wasn't exacly the best topic of conversation after not seeing your supposed boyfriend for a few days.
She glanced back down at the drink and downed it before gently setting the glass down on the coaster, feeling the burning of the liquid in the back of her throat as it slid down. No more drinks tonight. Two was enough...Well..He mother would probably offer her more...Her mom let her drink-when they were together. When they weren't she wasn't suppose to. But Sevvi had done enough things that she figured could justify her as able to make that decision on her own.
Letting her hair fall over half of her face, she was glad for the somewhat dim lighting. Hence he reason she loved this booth. Nice and secluded so she could grade papers in there every now and again whenever a teacher asked her for the help or to just sketch away in her sketch book....Or write in her journal/diary thing that had tinkerbell on it....

Jack knew she was lying. Something was eating at her brain, and he knew it. But he let it drop. He was no councillor, and he had no intention of forcing her to tell him anything she didn't want to. So, he played dumb about it, and nodded as if to understand, though he didn't.
"You either." Jack motioned to a waiter, and told him to bring him a coke. He had to drive, he wasn't going to drink. "Where had you been? I haven't seen you for what," He looked at his watch, almost pointlessly, "four days?" He recieved his coke.
He took a sip as he watched her down an entire thing of vodka. That must have stung a little. He couldn't help himself. He reached a hand and felt her forehead, and then moved his hand down the side of her face before resting it on her neck. She was a little warm, most likely from the alcohol, but it was a normal warmth.
"So, what would m'lady like, that she asked me to come here?"

"I've been home," she answered, her voice remaining quiet and her jade eyes averted his as she spoke, even though his hand was on her neck, "discussing some stuff with my mother."
She wouldn't bring up what they were discussing until it was finalized. That way there wouldn't be any confusion.
"Uh..." she scrunched up her nose at his next question as she hesitated a bit before finally looking up at him,"I just wanted to catch up," she lied miserably. She bit her lower lip and sighed deeply.
"Rumors."
She thought that would be enough to catch his attention fully-and understand where she was going with this so she wouldn't have to really explain. Sevvi was known for avoiding arguements as much as possible-and stopping them between people. So this shouldn't turn into an arguement.
But everyone knew Jack's reputation. They were already betting on how long his interest in Sevvi would last. Everyone knew she wasn't his type-at all. And noone knew Sevvi's type since she never dated anyone. She had gone on dates, sure, but never actually had a boyfriend like now-so this was ll new to her. She was pretending, in her head, that they weren't going out and that she should just talk to him like they were still friends and nothing was going on. But it was hard when her own fingers had managed to find his that were on his lap and lace them together and give a warm squeeze-almost like that was what was holding her together at the moment.
